Octave of Masses
Mass enrollment and Triduum schedule
The Again-rising of our Redeemer is a Festival of gladness for us,
for us it biddeth know that we shall not die for ever;
and for Angels also it is a festival of gladness,
for it biddeth them know that we are called
to fulfill their number in heaven.
—Pope Saint Gregory
Festival of gladness
Easter
4.20.2025
The words of promise have been fulfilled, “I am the Resurrection and the Life!” The clarity of truth began to dawn upon Saint Mary Magdalene and the Apostles those many centuries ago, as they peered into the empty tomb. The dark pall of their grief was pierced by the burgeoning ray of hope that those folded linens represented. The true hope that comes from our Lord’s Blessed Resurrection is one of ultimate realities: the conquering of death, the vanquishing of sin, the opening of Heaven’s Gates. It is a contagious hope that cannot be stifled by any external circumstance. Join us at the Shrine as we celebrate the true hope of Christ’s Resurrection, a hope that animates our souls, urges us onward, and steadies our faith. Surrexit Dominus vere, Alleluia! Et apparuit Simoni, Alleluia!
