For the ongoing restoration & repair of the Shrine,
its rectory, convent, & grounds

We are fortunate to have inherited such a beautiful church, so lovingly cared-for over the centuries. God has been very generous in allowing many major and expensive repairs to be completed in recent years. But there is still much to do.

We are presently bringing the electrical system to code, rebuilding the carriagehouse door, and preparing the convent to function as a retreat center. We have a custom-forged ironwork fence to restore, and a water drainage system to construct in Our Lady’s garden. All of this depends on your help.

Your donation of any amount goes, in its entirety, toward the restoration and repair of the Shrine and its grounds. Be assured of our gratitude and prayers. Mass is offered every month at the Shrine for our donors and benefactors.

FSSP

FSSP Parish Support

for the Fraternity priests who serve the Shrine

Using the ancient liturgy as a well-spring, the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter forms its priests in the traditions of the Church to serve at the altar and in the parish so that the fullness of Christ might enter the emptiness of the world.

Your full donation (100%) goes exclusively to support Fraternity priests here at the Shrine.

Our priests’ dedication and service to the sacred liturgy is a font of grace that blesses us unto many generations. May God reward the generosity with which you honor them and their sacred work.

Sacred Music Endowment

For the preservation of the Liturgical Arts

Music has always been a powerful and beautiful part of the sacred liturgy. Like every aspect of the Holy Mass, Gregorian chant and the Church’s tradition of sacred music serve to order our souls towards God.

Not surprisingly, the FSSP’s commitment to sacred music has turned out some of the world’s finest chanters and one of its very best recordings.

It is only fitting that the National Shrine of Saint Alphonsus, entrusted to the FSSP, should devote itself to praying in chant and to singing the Mass, the Divine Office, and the Lord's praises at the highest level it can attain.

It is our goal to become a leading center of chant and sacred music for all the faithful, near and far. With your help, we can hire a full-time music director and establish a Collegium Cantorum at the Shrine, we can sponsor regional and national workshops in Gregorian chant and sacred polyphony, and we can train the next generation in this most beautiful of sacred liturgical arts.

Legacy giving

Please consider remembering the Shrine in your will

so that long after we’re gone, there might still be Masses, prayers, and petitions offered for our sake and for our families –
here at this altar where we have so lovingly offered our own sacrifices, thanksgivings, and petitions.
